Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, answer menu questions, take orders, and process payments at the register.
Drink Preparation: Prepare espresso, traditional Mediterranean coffees, and milkshakes following our exact recipes.
Food Service: Deliver food and desserts to tables, or carefully package them for takeout customers.
Cleanliness & Maintenance: Clear glasses, clean coffee machines, and maintain a safe, sanitary work environment.
Stocking & Upkeep: Keep the coffee bar organized and fully stocked with beans, pastries, and daily supplies.
Qualifications:
Previous serving, customer service or barista experience is a PLUS.
Knowledge of coffee preparation, brewing techniques, and beverage equipment is preferred.
Previous experience with cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
A passion for food and beverage, excellent service, guest relations, and hospitality.
The ability to learn and confidently communicate menu and beverage offerings.
Flexibility to work a schedule that may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
The ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 20lbs as required by the position.

Kitchen Leadership: Direct the daily kitchen operations for both the main restaurant and the cafe.
Food Quality: Ensure all Mediterranean dishes, stone-oven items, and cafe prep work consistently meet high-quality standards.
Catering & Events: Plan, prepare, and manage food production for large catering orders and special events, ensuring everything is fresh and ready on time.
Team Training: Hire, train, and guide cooks and kitchen staff to work quickly, safely, and as a strong team.
Inventory & Ordering: Order ingredients, track food supplies, and control portion sizes to keep costs down and prevent waste.
Safety & Cleanliness: Enforce strict food hygiene rules, keep the kitchen spotless, and ensure equipment like gas grills and ovens are properly maintained.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous background as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or strong Sous Chef, ideally with knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine.
Event Handling: Proven ability to manage large-scale cooking volumes for off-site catering and special events.
Leadership Skills: Can confidently direct a team, solve problems on the spot during busy shifts, and keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Organization: Excellent timing and planning skills so that dine-in, takeout, and catering orders are all handled without delays.
Physical Ability: Comfortable working on your feet for long hours in a commercial kitchen.

Recipe Accuracy: Make sure every dish looks and tastes perfect by strictly following Hekaya's recipes.
Timing & Speed: Work quickly and efficiently so that dine-in, takeout, and catering orders are ready at the right time.
Cleanliness: Keep your cooking station clean throughout the shift, label food properly, and follow all health and safety rules.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook is strongly preferred, but we will train motivated people.
Kitchen Skills: Basic knife skills and a good understanding of how to safely use commercial kitchen equipment.
Pace: Able to stay focused, calm, and organized when the kitchen gets very busy.
Physical Ability: Comfortable standing for long hours, working in a hot kitchen environment, and sometimes lifting heavy ingredient bags or boxes (if needed).
Teamwork: A good attitude and the ability to communicate clearly with the Head Chef and the rest of the team.

Quality Control: Check that all Mediterranean dishes, baked goods, and coffee drinks meet Hekaya’s high standards before they reach the table.
Staff Support: Jump in to help wherever needed during busy times, whether that means making coffee, running food, or clearing tables.
Safety & Cleanliness: Enforce health and safety rules, ensuring both the kitchen and the public dining areas are kept spotless.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience as a shift lead, supervisor, or manager in a restaurant, cafe, or similar food service setting.
Leadership: A positive attitude with the ability to guide a team, keep staff motivated, and communicate clearly.
Multitasking: Can easily switch between managing a fast-paced coffee counter and a sit-down dining room.
Problem Solving: Quick to find calm, effective solutions if an issue arises with an order, a customer, or scheduling.
Flexibility: Open to working different schedules, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Delivering Food (Runner): Safely and quickly carry meals from the kitchen to the correct tables while the food is hot and fresh.
Takeout & Packing: Carefully pack food into boxes and bags for takeout or catering, double-checking that no sauces, utensils, or side items are left behind.
Team Support (Floater): Step in wherever help is needed most—clearing empty plates, wiping down tables, or bringing supplies to the baristas and servers.
Communication: Work as the main bridge between the cooks in the kitchen and the service team in the dining room to keep orders moving smoothly
Qualifications:
Attention to Detail: Can easily spot a missing item, a special request, or a mistake on an order ticket before the food goes out.
Pace & Energy: Able to walk, move, and switch tasks quickly during busy restaurant rushes.
Team Attitude: Always willing to jump in and help out different team members without hesitation.
Physical Ability: Comfortable standing for the entire shift and safely carrying food trays, plates, or takeout bags.
Experience: Previous restaurant experience is helpful, but a fast learner with a positive attitude is just as welcome.
